  The sheath of this commercial paracord is braided from 32 strands and the core made up of seven two-ply yarns. The US military MIL-C-5040H standard required the material to be nylon.  Similar styles of cord are manufactured with other materials such as polyester.  This paracord 550 is great to have in your pack.  It will be there when you need it.  Paracord is great for setting up tent, securing your rigging and thousands of other uses.
